It honours over 70,000 Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives in World War I and the Third Anglo-Afghan War. The foundation stone was laid in 1921, and the monument was inaugurated in 1931 by Lord Irwin. Today, it stands as a powerful symbol of India’s valour, history, and national pride.
