1. Platform Presentations (Oral Sessions)

• Reserved for abstracts of high scientific merit.
• Highlight rigorous, impactful, and innovative research.
• Presentation time and structure will be communicated after acceptance.

2. Categories of Presentation

Abstracts must be submitted under one of the following experience categories:

• Student Category: Final years, Internsand Postgraduate students
• Junior Professional Category: (Academicians & Clinicians withupto 10 years’ experience after graduation)
• Senior Professional Category: (Academicians & Clinicians with 10 to 20 years experience after graduating)
• Elite Professional Category: (Academicians and Clinicians with more than 20 years experience after graduating)
• These categories will be further divided into sub-categories of specialisation:
  • Orthopaedics / Musculoskeletal / Manual Therapy
  • Neuro-Physiotherapy
  • Cardio-pulmonary Physiotherapy
  • Paediatric Physiotherapy
  • Geriatrics
  • Women’s Health
  • Education (Pedagogy, Education Policies, Innovative Approaches, Technological Advances)
  • Sports
  • Miscellaneous – any other topic apart from the ones mentioned above

3. E-Poster Presentations

• Authors may directly apply to present their work in the E-Poster category.
• Accepted abstracts will be scheduled as e-poster presentations, providing opportunities for discussion and knowledge exchange.
• The Scientific Committee may also reassign certain abstracts submitted for platform presentation to the e-poster category if deemed more appropriate. Presenters will be informed of this decision in advance.

• Both platform and e-poster presentations will be eligible for awards.
• Judging will be conducted by a panel of senior international and national professionals.
• Number and type of awards will depend upon the volume and quality of abstracts selected.
• The Organising Committee’s decision on awards will be final and binding.

• All abstracts will undergo blinded peer review by a panel of National and International reviewers.
• Review will be based on scientific merit, originality, clarity, and relevance to the conference theme.

General Requirements

• All correspondence will be with the submitting author (corresponding author), who will be deemed the presenting author unless otherwise indicated.
• Abstract length: Maximum 300 words.
• Title length: Maximum 20 words.
• Submissions must follow the structured format below:

Abstract Structure

1. Background: Context and importance of the study/project.
2. Purpose: Primary and secondary objectives.
3. Methods: Methodology, principles, and materials used.
4. Results: Key findings (ongoing studies with incomplete results will not be accepted).
5. Conclusion(s): Main inferences and suggestions for future work.
6. Implications: Relevance and practical translation to physiotherapy practice, education, or policy.

Restrictions:

• No images, tables, or graphs allowed.
• References not required.

Additional Submission Elements:

• Keywords: Up to 3.
• Funding Acknowledgements: Mandatory (state “No funding” if unfunded).
• Ethics Approval Information
  • If your study has received ethics approval, clearly mention:
    • The name of the institution
    • The name of the ethics committee
    • The ethical approval/reference number
  • If your study did not require ethics approval, state the reason.
  • Ethics approval is usually not required if your work:
    • Explores new ideas or concepts in practice, theory, education, management, policy, or resources.
    • Describes innovative ways of adapting existing methods to meet changing needs.
    • Is a systematic review or narrative review of existing evidence.
  • If ethics approval is not necessary*, write N/A under "Institution and Ethics Committee" and clearly explain why it was not required.
• Presenting Author Biography: Maximum 200 words
• Co-Author Details: Full information required.
• Prior Presentation/Publication Disclosure: Maximum 50 words; state “N/A” if not applicable.

1. Language: All abstracts and presentations must be in English
2. Accuracy: Authors are responsible for spelling, grammar, and accuracy. Abstracts will be published as submitted.
3. Presentation Limits: Each author may present a maximum of two abstracts.
4. Presenting Author Policy: One presenting author per abstract; substitutions must be formally notified.
5. Originality: Only original work permitted. Prior publications/presentations must be disclosed.
6. Inclusive Language: People-first terminology must be used. Avoid labelling individuals by disability or condition (e.g., write “person with a stroke” instead of “stroke patient”).
7. Ethical Standards: All human/animal research must comply with CIOMS and WHO guidelines.
8. Previous Publications or Presentations: Authors must disclose if the work has been or will be published/presented elsewhere before the conference. Previously presented or published work will not be selected for presentation
9. Registration: Presenting authors must register and attend in person.
10. Scheduling: Determined solely by the Scientific Committee; requests for specific slots cannot be entertained.
11. Presentation Facilities PowerPoint will be available in the presentation room.
12. Commercial Restrictions: Abstracts must not serve promotional or marketing purposes.
13. Consistency with Abstract Presentations must follow the content and outline of the accepted abstract. Any changes require prior written approval from the Chair of the Scientific Committee.
14. Certificates: Only presenting authors will receive certificates.
15. Final Decision: All decisions of the Scientific Committee are final.

By submitting an abstract, the author confirms:

1. Responsibility for Content: Accuracy lies solely with the submitting author.
2. Agreement of Co-Authors: All co-authors approve the submission.
3. Commitment to Presentation: If accepted, the presenting author will attend the Conference at their own expense.
4. Copyright Clearances: Authors are responsible for obtaining all necessary permissions.
5. Ethical Compliance: Appropriate approvals and informed consents have been secured.
6. Consent for Identifiable Information Any individual who can be identified in the abstract or presentation has given explicit consent to be included.
7. Originality: Work is original and does not violate any third-party rights.
8. Declaration of Conflict of Interest: Any relevant financial or professional interests have been disclosed.

By submitting an abstract, the submitting author, on behalf of all co-authors, agrees:

1. Pre-Publication Restriction

• The abstract/paper must not be published or submitted elsewhere for publication before the Conference has concluded.
• This ensures exclusivity of presentation at the World Physiotherapy AWP Conference 2026.

2. Author Information Use

• Names, affiliations, and short bios of authors may be used in promotional or congress-related publications.

3. License to World Physiotherapy AWP

• Authors grant World Physiotherapy AWP a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:
  • Edit, publish, reproduce, and distribute the abstract in print or digital formats.
  • Create derivative works (press releases, educational material, recordings).

4. Author Rights After Presentation

• Authors retain the right to publish elsewhere after the Congress, provided appropriate acknowledgement is made to the Congress.

5. Acknowledgement Requirement

• Any reuse must cite the original presentation at the World Physiotherapy Asia Western Pacific Conference 2026, New Delhi, India.

Organizing Committee of World Physiotherapy AWP Regional Conference 2026 support the open and responsible use of generative AI in research.
